Common problems with the Nintendo Wii:
- DVD laser weakening or failure.
Symptoms: ‘Disc can not be read’ error message, skipping in games, loss of audio during gameplay, freezing, discs will not load at all.
Problem Description: The diode which supplies power to create the laser beam commonly fails in the DVD lasers, which prevents the unit from producing the laser light required to reflect off discs and provide reading feedback to the console. Thus the console is unable to read discs correctly or at all.
Solutions: Laser and general console service / Complete DVD laser replacement / Complete DVD-ROM drive replacement. We only recommend our genuine brand new laser units, which are covered by 6 months warranty (try and find that anywhere else!). We also offer an optional extended laser warranty for brand new replacements for 1 year!!!
If you are on a budget or are shopping around, we can provide the cheaper Chinese replacements which most places use, although these are not as durable and come with less warranty.
